Bait and Switch

On September 21, 2006, My wife was shown and test drove a black 2007 ford focus VIN #1FAFP34N67W126034. This was the only car ever mentioned or shown to my wife and the following terms were agreed to. 72 months, 15.95%, 15231.13 to be financed that included the car (16047.35), a $2500.00 cash back, GAP insurance (500.00), doc fees (209.00), and sales tax (974.78). Payments to equal 329.97. The papers were drawn up and signed. We were called 2 days later, September 23, 2006, and were told they gave us the wrong car, (we took the one she drove, VIN#1FAFP34N67W126034) and that the deal had to be redone. It seems they put VIN#1FAFP34N17W126023 on the original papers, instead of the VIN#1FAFP34N67W126034. The new deal goes like this. 72 months, 17.95%, 14881.67 to be financed that included the car (16338.37) the one we drove, a $2500.00 cash back, NO Gap insurance (we need this), doc fees (60.00), and sales tax (983.30). Payments to equal 339.00. I feel like they pulled a bait and switch on my wife and I would like the car we drove (VIN#1FAFP34N67W126034) and now have, at the first agreed upon terms. I think all citizens of Central Arkansas needs to be made aware of the Bait and Switch practices of Crain Ford Lincoln Mercury in Benton Arkansas.
