Attic Colletion

I purchased a wake table from the Broyhill Attic Collection. I have the natural wood finish. After 1 and 1/2 years, the finish has become sticky and the color is coming out of the table. I can not put anything down o the table without having to peel it off. Broyhill said since it is out of warranty they cannot do anything about it and that I have dissolved the finish by wiping the dining room table with a damp cloth. What gives?
