Apple custsomer service

All I needed, today, was some information on an upgrade for my Apple computer so that I could run some software. So I rang Apple Mac technical support in 'Bluewater', Kent for assistance. After 20-odd minutes of being put on hold by some confused non-English speaking guy I was then 'passed over 'to someone else who claimed to understand everything about my request. However, instead(!), the second guy just asked me 'what software is it that you want to buy?'!. Needeless to say,my wife and I have now 'resisted the temptation to upgrade' and will go out instead. This seems typical of every industry we seem to come across in England - Nobody knows how to speak the language of the country in which they live.
