American Freight Companies

American Freight Companies aggregiously mismanaged my shipment which I paid in full and had guaranteed by a signed contract. Because the service representative underestimated the job (her mistake) the supervisor threatened to cancel the job or tack on an additional $1100 (to ship a light sofa!). This supervisor (Ken Lewis) would not return my calls and my service representative (Mary Ann Manning) was terribly rude, barking “Lady, people are dying oversees and you're worried about a damn couch!”, after which she hung up on me. Cancelling my shipment the day it was scheduled for pick up also caused the person who was waiting for the pick up to lose 3 hours at a very important job, and caused me to scramble to make new arrangements in order to get the item shipped in 2 days before the person left the country. The payment for this service was initially made on July 18th (2+ weeks lost!). The worst business experience I've ever encountered and another example of the small consumer getting taken advantage of.
