The man I am hopelessly in love with asked me to visit him and keep him company in the hospital while he recovered. Unsure of how work would be at that time, I said: no, I wasn't sure I'd have the time. Instantly regretting it I said maybe I could work something out...but it was awkwardly too late by then.
