Always paying the price

I am tired of always paying the price of someone else's mistake. Most recently, a dentist did not premedicate me and, as a result, I had to undergo another surgery and 4 weeks of self administering antibiotics, and about $1,000 in copays. Lawyers tell me that it isn't worth their time to pursue. Meanwhile the dentist gets off completely free. I know that life isn't fair, and now I know only too well that it is also favors the wrongdoer.
