Allied Van Lines moved me from Ohio to Florida last October (2005). Since then, I have written and corresponded with them many times for them to take responsibility for the loss of some of my important personal property. They say they cannot accept responsibility, mailed me a check in the amount of $36.oo (for a much larger loss), and consider the matter closed. They say I 'allege' the property is stolen or delivered to someone else, and consider the matter closed. I am very upset at this loss and will continue to try to get my valuable property back. Allied Van Lines has moved me before without any problems like this. Now that I understand how they handle their customers' problems, I do not recommend that this company be considered for anyone contemplating a relocation or any other kind of move.
