I took my dog to Alameda East vet clinic. He got hit by a car, and that was the only emergency place I knew of. They are way over priced!!! When I called Tuesday morning to see how he was doing (we brought him in on a saturday evening) the lady didn't even know he was there. The night before we had set up a payment contract because the bill was aready over $1200. We had to pay $500 that same morning, in order to continue treatment. Well when I called to see how he was and the lady that answerd said she didn't know he was even there, that is when I decided we had to find a different place. Then she told me that the contract I did the day before does not matter because they do not do contracts for payments!! So what was it I did the day before. She said they would not alowe us to do that. And if we wanted to continue his treatment we had to pay the rest of what we owed and for the surgery upfront. We took him to another vet and they did not recomend surgery because he was so young and that his leg would heal fine without it. I should have sued for breach of contract, but I am just glad I found a better vet (Hormosa).Do not take your pets here they dont care for your pets they just want your money.
