AfterHour Formalware ripped me off!

On June 3, 06, my husband and I, along with Bob and Ellen (the bride and groom) went to the Merrillville, Indiana AfterHours Formalware (a sister company to David's Bridal) to rent tuxedos for an Aug. 07 wedding. Their advertisement for AfterHours Formalware stated ‘Tux for $49'. When I asked the manager, Rebecca, if that included everything, she stated that it did include everything except shoes. I asked that question in front of 3 other people and they all heard Rebecca's answer. My husband's $49 tux now cost $89 and the groom's FREE tux now cost $69! When I confronted Rebecca on this, she claimed she never said that it included anything. But 3 other people heard her. She argued the point with me and would not admit the truth. Not happy over the ‘BAIT AND SWITCH' scam and the attitude from the manager, we stupidly went ahead and paid our $20 deposit because Rebecca assured us the deposit WAS refundable. She also assured us that they would price-match any competitor. (She lied again!) After stewing over the events we looked around for a better place to serve us and found one. When I went in to the Merrillville AfterHours Formalware to get my refund, the manager, would not give me my money back and said it was non-refundable. This wedding is next year, so there can not possibly be a ‘restocking fee'. I'd like to point out that the back of our customer receipts states: BY SIGNING HERE, THE CUSTOMER HAS READ AND AGREES TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS NOTED ABOVE. (concerning the non-refunable deposit) I never signed anything. Rebecca and AfterHours Formalware are stealing my money! There is no other way to look at this event. In my opinion this company is extremely underhanded!
