afraid of flying

my grandparents lived in new zealand and always told me stories about life there and i always talked about it with my boyfriend. he surprised me with a trip to new zealand after graduation this summer. he doesn't know that i'm petrified of flying. i've never been in a plane and it frightens me. i think the plane will crash.
