
ACCREUED INTEREST

I CONTRACTED WITH SEARS TO REPLACE THE WINDOWS IN MY HOME, THEY SUBCONTRACTED THE WORK TO A COMPANY CALLED BIL-RAY LOCATED IN ELMONT N.Y. THE JOB WAS NEVER COMPLETED TO SATISFACTION YET WE WERE TOLD THAT WE WOULD NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL A SATISFATION OF COMPLETION WAS SIGNED. SOMEBODY ELSE SIGNED THAT PAPER AND SEARS PROCEEDED TO PAY THE BIL-RAY COMPANY IN FULL. WE HAVE MADE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND HAVE GONE AS FAR AS HAVING OUR ACCOUNT SUSPENDED WHILE THE MATTER WAS BEING DISPUTED, UNFORTUNATLEY THEY KEPT APPLYING INTEREST AND LATE CHARGES TO MY ACCOUNT. AT THIS TIME I WOULD LIKE SEARS TO WAIVE ALL INTERSET THAT HAS ACCRUED ON MY ACCOUNT AS I WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM PAYING THE ORIGINAL AMOUNT I OWED FOR THE WINDOWS. WE HAVE SPOKEN TO A WOMAN NAMED MARSHA IN THE NATIONAL CUSTOMER RELATIONS DEPARTMENT AT 800 669 4715 AND ALSO TO THE COLLECTION CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARMENT AT 800 347 8480. THEY TELL ME THAT MY ACCOUNT IS STILL IN DISPUTE BUT THAT EACH DAY IT WILL CONTINUE TO ACCRUE INTEREST AND LATE PAYMENT CHARGES. WE SECURED THE CONTRACT WITH OUR SEARS CREDIT CARD BUT WERE TOLD BY THE SEARS SALESMAN THAT UPON SATISFACTION OF COMPLETION WE HAD THE OPTION TO APPLY THE COST TO A SEARS HOME IMPROVEMENT LOAN. SEARS APPLIED IT TO OUR REGULAR SEARS CREDIT CARD AT 25.22 PERCENT INTEREST, AND OUR PROBLEM TODAY REMAINS UNSOLVED..
