The Dead can't say what can no longer be said. What can no longer be said is all but dead. You cannot speak for what the dead once said. For what the dead once said, is all but dead. Don't speak what was said from the dead.

Laurie once spoke ill of my friend but now she can't because she's dead. Now my friend is free to have a good reputation because Laurie can no longer speak ill of her. So now that Laurie is dead, no one has a right to repeat the ill that Laurie spread about my friend.
