911 call

This evening my husband made a 911 call for a little girl that was outside (no parents around) that was apparently hit in the eye with something - he said he heard the little girl scream and ran over and picked her up and blood was running out of her eye socket - he called 911 and requested an ambulance, they proceeded to question him - 'is the blood gushing or spurting?' so they could figure out what type of help to send - duh? she's not on fire, we don't need a fire truck, she's about 4 yrs old we don't need police - there's blood we need a ambulance!!!! The ambulance never did show up, after a few more minutes arguing with dispatch the girls mother put her in her car and drove her to the ER herself!
