Hmmm puts things in an interesting light. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The 12 promises are from pps. 83-84 of the Big Book. 1--We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness....as long as we go to meetings. 2--We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. ....as long as we go to meetings 3--We will comprehend the word serenity....as long as we go to meetings. 4--We will know peace......as long as we go to meetings 5--.No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others.....as long as we go to meetings. 6--.That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear......as long as we go to meetings. 7--.We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows. ....as long as we go to meetings. 8--.Self-seeking will slip away.....as long as we go to meetings 9--.Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change.....as long as we go to meetings. 10--.Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us.....as long as we go to meetings. 11--.We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us.....as long as we go to meetings. 12--.We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves....as long as we go to meetings. ...... Funny how it starts to look more like bondage than freedom. Tradition 1 Our common welfare should come first; {promoting selfishness} .Personal recovery depends upon A.A. unity.... disturbing statement.! Are these extravagant promises? We think not. They are being fullfilled among us - sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. They will always materialize if we work the program...... Another disturbing statement. The only slogan that AA really needs is ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME . THAT IS THE BOTTOM LINE. DIVORCE AMONGST AAERS IS HUGE.NO SUPRISE THERE ,CONSIDERING AA BRAINWASHES THEM TO THE POINT THAT THEY HAVE A PSYCHOLOGICAL DEPENDENCE ON THAT CRAP AND CAN NEVER MOVE ON OR GET ON WITH LIFE. AA FITS THE DESCRIPTION OF A CULT PERFECTLY.
