07 Yukon xl 2500

I bought a 07 Yukon xl 2500 with the 6L heavy duty transmission. The vehicle is a dog. It struggles pullng 4000lbs up the hills of Tenn.. The RPMS drop during the middle of acceleration. I am also averaging 8 miles per gallon when pulling. GM says the vehilce is operating as designed therefore they will do nothing to fix the vehicle. The service manager told me that GM has found out after production that there is less torque hitting the road than the 1500 model. Design flaw because torgue is measured in a different location.
