To get a credit to Credit Card for returned merchandise with a valid receipt Brookstone chain shop demands private information of customer from pictorial ID to be transferred into database. Customer Service doesn't provide any info how they are going to use the data. Unfortunately, this type of database with my name, address, driver license and credit card numbers are easy available to ID thieves. Brookstone didn't honor my request to erase the data. It is very sad, and I don't see any way to make them the deletion.
