My boyfriend is pissed because I bought a gold fish and that I didn't consult with him first. He says that I’m being inconsiderate. It’s a gold fish, It’s not like I went out and bought a cat or a dog.Also I bought it with my money. I already had a fish tank and filter from a fish I had back when I was a kid. I spent less that ten dollars.I didn't cut into our spending budget so I just don’t see why he’s so pissed off.Why does he care and why does he think I always need to consult with him before doing anything.

I was with a guy like that once. At first he was sweet. Then it went to me having to tell him where I went every day, and like you him getting pissed off after I did something without him knowing about it first.Once he went off on me because I bought a bag of Funyuns at the drug store without telling him. I was thinking of breaking up, but I just got out of school so I could exactly just pick up and leave right away. I had no one who could take me in either.Eventually his controlling behavior escalated to him out right refusing to let me leave the house or talk on the phone unless I had to. I called my brother from work one evening, and told him everything.Even though he lived an hour away he immediately dropped everything. I found him waiting outside of my workplace after I got off. A lot of shit happened after that.But what I'm says is if this guy is anything like my ex, get out now. seriously! GET OUT NOW! It's not worth the drama later.

If he seriously gets that pissed off about not having a final say in everything you do, then he's being a controlling asshole and you don't need that.Take your fish and leave him.
